Environment objects ‘Love Letters of Rainis and Aspazija’ on view in the centre of Riga

From Monday, August 24, a new ensemble of objects of environment art titled ‘Love Letters of Rainis and Aspazija’ invite the viewers in the park square in front of Latvian National Opera and Ballet.

The authors of the objects of environment are artists associated with ‘IBIO Union’ Ltd. Laura Bistrakova, Laine Uzulēna, and Iveta Heinacka. They have designed the outlines of the great Latvian poet couple, using historic photo imagery and patterns of their handwriting projected on the six environment art objects under the unifying title evoking epistolary exchange between Rainis and Aspazija, located in the green area between Rainis and Aspazija Boulevards, will be on display during the events of the celebration of Rainis and Aspazija’s 150th jubilee, from August 20 till September 22.
